How to choose a sofa that actually fits
Measure the long side first
Measure the wall you want it against, then take about 15 cm off for skirting boards and radiators. Every listing shows the width, depth and height, so you can check the numbers before you get attached to one.
Check the route in, not just the room
A sofa that fits the room still has to get there. Measure doorways, hallway turns and stairwells at their narrowest point. The number of boxes on each product page tells you whether it arrives in one piece or several.
Think about the second use
